TCF TP (Test de Connaissance du Français) is a test of French language proficiency.

The purpose of the exam is to test the level of proficiency of French as a foreign language. All exam candidates receive a certificate indicating the test results and their compliance with levels 1-6 (A1-C2) of the Pan-European Language Learning Folder.

The TCF TP certificate may be mandatory for admission to universities in France and other Francophone countries. Since 2007, TCF TP has been mandatory for applying for PhD level in Armenia.

The TCF TP consists of three parts:

  • Writing (optional)
  • Speaking (optional)

The compulsory part consists of 3 parts: listening- comprehension, reading- comprehension and grammar.

The TCF TP Exam Certificate is valid for 2 years.
